FAQs

What should I wear?

1

We’re going for formal cocktail attire. Think colors, textures, and outfits that bring some personality to the party. We want everyone to feel dressed up, but still comfortable enough to move around.

A few practical notes:

  • We’ll be outside on a boat, and evening temps on the water can dip quickly, so we recommend bringing a coat or wrap.

  • Because we’ll be on a dock and moving around the boat, we don’t recommend tall heels. Choose shoes that make walking easy and comfortable.

  • For men, a suit and tie or blazer and slacks will fit right in. For women, long dresses or dressy jumpsuits will also fit in.

Will the wedding be family friendly?

2

We love your little ones, but we’re having a child-free wedding so everyone can relax and celebrate with us.

Where are you registered?

3

Nowhere! Your presence is truly the best gift you could give us.

If you’d still like to bring something, we’d love for you to bring a vinyl record of music you love. We can’t wait to build a collection filled with the sounds (and memories) of our favorite people.

When should I RSVP?

4

Please RSVP by April 1st.

That said, we highly recommend RSVPing and booking your travel and lodging as soon as possible. Seattle is hosting the FIFA World Cup the same weekend as our wedding, which means hotels and flights will book up quickly (and prices may climb).

What’s the wedding day itinerary?

5

We’ll share the full itinerary closer to the date, but here’s what you can expect:

We’ll set sail from 4:30–6:30 PM aboard the beautiful Bay Lady sailboat. Expect breezy views of Elliott Bay, drinks in hand, and a short, joy-filled ceremony as we cruise the water.

After we dock, we’ll head ashore for the reception. Transportation will be provided to Lenox, where we’ll gather for cocktail hour and dinner from 6:30–9:30 PM. Lenox was just named one of Bon Appétit’s 20 Best Restaurants in America, and we can’t wait to share a meal with you there.

To keep the night going, we’ll move across the street to Hotel Crocodile for the after-party. Expect music, dancing, a disco ball, and plenty of late-night fun from 10:00 PM until around midnight.

What's the best way to get around Seattle?

6

Parking is limited near our venues, so we recommend skipping a rental car. Seattle has great public transit and plenty of rideshare options like Uber and Lyft. Walking is also a lovely way to explore the city and waterfront.

What’s the weather like this time of year?

7

June in Seattle is still springtime—beautiful but unpredictable. Bring layers for changing temps, and don’t worry—we’ll have umbrellas if rain makes an appearance.
